What a China shipping agent does

A shipping agent in China sits between your suppliers and your customers. The goods arrive at the agent's warehouse rather than being posted by each supplier separately. They are checked, repacked, combined into one shipment where possible, and sent on the delivery line that suits the destination.

The difference from a freight forwarder is what happens before the parcel leaves. A forwarder moves a box you have already packed. We open it, inspect what is inside, photograph it, put your branding on it and take responsibility for what your customer receives.

Duty paid, so nobody is charged at the door

Every parcel ships Delivered Duty Paid on our carriers' duty-paid lines. Duty and import charges are settled before the parcel reaches your customer, and the delivered price we quote you already includes them. Sales tax on the sale itself, such as UK or EU VAT, is collected by you as the seller through your store or marketplace, exactly as it is on any other order.

What we handle

From your supplier's door to your customer's

Receiving and checking

Your suppliers deliver to our warehouse. We check the goods against your order and tell you straight away if something is wrong.

Inspection with photos

Every unit is inspected before it is packed, and you get photos of your own goods with the order.

Consolidation

Several suppliers, one shipment. We repack everything into one parcel or one carton so you pay one shipping cost.

Branded packing

Your mailer, insert card and hang tag go on before the parcel leaves, at no extra handling cost.

Duty paid delivery

Parcels ship on carriers’ duty-paid lines, so your customer is never asked for money on the doorstep.

Tracking that goes back

Every parcel is tracked and tracking is pushed back to your Shopify store, so your customer gets it automatically.

Choosing a method

Parcel, air or sea

Most stores use duty-paid parcels for customer orders and switch to air or sea once they hold stock. For the United States, sea express sits between the two, arriving at your address in about 25 to 30 days for a cost much closer to sea than to air. Preparation time before dispatch is always separate from transit time, and we tell you both when we quote.

Method Best for Typical time Notes
Parcel, duty paid Single customer orders 3 to 10 days after dispatch, depending on country The standard choice for dropshipping. One tracking number per order.
Air freight Bulk stock that is needed soon About 7 to 15 days door to door Faster than sea for restocking, and usually cheaper than parcel rates per kilo at volume.
Sea express Restocking the United States without paying air rates About 25 to 30 days door to door Sea freight with customs clearance and delivery included, so it arrives at your address rather than a port.
Sea freight Large or heavy bulk orders About 30 to 50 days door to door The cheapest per unit if you can plan ahead. Production time is on top.
Delivery times

Transit after dispatch, by country

  • United States 5–8 days USPS tracking
  • United Kingdom 3–8 days Local tracked delivery
  • Europe 3–8 days Local carrier tracking
  • Canada 6–10 days Tracked delivery
  • Australia 6–10 days Tracked delivery

Transit is counted from the day the parcel leaves our warehouse. Preparation time depends on whether the product is in stock with us or still has to be collected from the factory.

FAQ

Shipping questions

What does a China shipping agent do?

A shipping agent receives your goods in China, checks them, combines shipments from different suppliers and arranges the right delivery method to your country. Instead of paying several suppliers to post parcels separately, everything leaves from one warehouse under one tracking number per order.

What is DDP shipping and why does it matter?

DDP means Delivered Duty Paid. Duty and import charges are settled before the parcel reaches your customer, so nobody is asked to pay at the door. The delivered price we quote you already includes them. Sales tax on the sale itself, such as UK or EU VAT, is collected by you as the seller through your store.

How long does shipping from China take?

After dispatch, transit is usually 3 to 8 days to the UK and Europe, 5 to 8 days to the United States and 6 to 10 days to Australia and Canada. Preparation time before dispatch is separate and depends on whether the goods are already in our warehouse or still have to be collected from the factory.

Can you collect goods from my own suppliers?

Yes. Send your supplier the address of our warehouse. We receive the goods, check them against your order, photograph any problems and hold them until your shipment is ready.

Can you combine orders from several suppliers?

Yes. Consolidation is one of the main reasons sellers use an agent. Several deliveries arrive at our warehouse, we repack them into one shipment and you pay one shipping cost instead of several.

Which carriers do you ship with?

We ship with YunExpress, 4PX, USPS, DHL and choose the line that fits the destination, the product type and the speed you need. Every parcel is tracked, and tracking is sent back to your Shopify store automatically.

Do you ship batteries, liquids or oversized items?

Some products need a specific line, and some cannot be shipped by air at all. Tell us what the product is before you list it and we will tell you honestly which lines accept it and what that does to the delivery time.
