Privacy policy
What we collect, why, how long we keep it and what you can ask us to do about it. Written in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.

The short version. If you fill in our quote form we collect your name, email and what you told us about your business, and we use it only to reply to you. We do not use cookies, we do not track you, we do not run advertising pixels and we never sell your details to anyone.
Who we are
This website is operated by Axono Shipping, a product sourcing and order fulfillment business based in China.

What we collect, and when
When you fill in the quote form
We collect only what you type into it:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your store website address, if you give one
- The products you want quoted
- Your approximate daily order volume
- The countries you sell to
- Anything you write in the message box
Why: so we can prepare a quote and reply to you. That is the only reason.
Legal basis: your request. You asked us for a quote, so we process what you sent in order to answer. Under UK and EU data protection law this is either steps taken at your request before entering a contract, or our legitimate interest in replying to a business inquiry.
When you email or message us on WhatsApp
We hold the conversation and whatever you choose to tell us in it, for the same reason, to answer you and to keep a record of what was agreed.
WhatsApp is operated by Meta, not by us. If you contact us that way, Meta handles the message under their own privacy terms. If you would rather not use it, email works just as well.
When you simply read the website
Our hosting provider, Netlify, automatically records standard server information such as your IP address, the page requested and your browser type. This happens on essentially every website and is used to serve the page and to protect against abuse.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies and runs no tracking. There is no analytics, no advertising pixel, no session cookie and nothing stored on your device. Which is also why you are not being shown a cookie banner.
Our fonts are served from our own domain rather than from Google, so loading this site does not send your IP address to a third-party font service.
Who else sees your information
We use a small number of service providers to run the site:
- Netlify hosts the website and receives quote form submissions on our behalf.
- Our email provider delivers and stores the emails we exchange with you.
- Shipping carriers (YunExpress, 4PX, USPS, DHL). If you become a client, the delivery address you give us for each order is passed to the carrier so the parcel can be delivered. There is no way around this.
We do not sell your data, rent it, or share it for advertising. We do not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a quote.
Where your information is held
We are based in China, so information you send us is accessed from there. Our hosting and email providers may store data on servers in other countries, including inside and outside the UK and European Economic Area.
If you are in the UK or the EU, this means your information may be transferred outside your country. We rely on the safeguards offered by those providers for such transfers.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was given to us, and no longer.
- Quote requests that do not become clients are kept so we can recognize you if you come back, then deleted.
- Client records are kept for as long as you are a client and for a period afterwards, because order and payment records have to be retained for accounting purposes.
If you want to know how long we are holding something of yours, or you want it deleted sooner, email us and ask.
Your rights
If you are in the UK or the EU, data protection law gives you the right to ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete it
- Restrict or object to how we use it
- Send you a copy in a portable format
Email team@axonoshipping.com and we will deal with it. We will not charge you and we will not make it difficult.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to your national data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Children
This is a business-to-business website. It is not intended for children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date below. If the change is significant and you are a client, we will tell you directly rather than expecting you to notice.
